MILITARY BAH and CHILD SUPPORT

Posted on August 24, 2015

Child Support in California is calculated by using a formula. The formula calculates  the parents’ income as one of the factors. The military member’s Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) as well as the Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS) are included as non-taxable  income for the military member. The base pay as well as Language Learning Pay, Flight Pay and other special pay are calculated as taxable income for the military member.

Attorney Mary Chubb has years of working with the military members and their families in focusing on the details and various strategies in fine tuning the Child Support calculations.
